SMC nagbigay ng Leica Cryostat Machine sa Quezon Provincial Hospital Network

LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Pormal nang ipinagkaloob sa Quezon Provincial Hospital Network – Quezon Medical Center (QPHN-QMC) ang bagong Leica Cryostat Machine 1860 na mula kay San Miguel Corporation (SMC) President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ramon S. Ang. Sa ginanap na programa ngayong araw ng Biyernes, Hulyo 5, taos-pusong pinasalamatan ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan si Mr. Ang sa walang sawang pakikipagbalikatan upang makapagbigay ng iba’t-ibang tulong sa buong lalawigan ng Quezon. Ang Cryostat ay ginagamit upang ipreserve ang mga tissue samples gamit ang mababang temperatura, at para rin ito sa mas mabisang pagsusuri ng iba’t-ibang sakit partikular na ang cancer. Ayon naman kay QPHN-QMC Chief of Hospital Dr. Juan Eugenio Fidel Villanueva, ang makinang ito ay malaking tulong upang mapalawak pa ang kanilang kakayahan na magbigay ng tamang diagnosis sa mga pasyente.   Magsisilbi rin itong mahalagang hakbang upang mag-apply ng accreditation training program sa kanilang Department of Pathology. Samantala, matatandaan ring naibigay sa nasabing ospital ang Fujifilm Supria 128 Slice CT-Scanner at Mammogram Machine nito lamang nakaraang Enero 23, 2024. By Quezon PIO

3,000 Caviteños grateful for support from Cayetanos, DSWD

The offices of Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano maximized their recent visit to Cavite by conducting two days of outreach activities on June 19 and 20, 2024 to provide aid to many residents in need. Once again partnering with the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program, the Cayetano siblings reached out to 3,000 Cavite residents. On June 19, their first stop in Dasmariñas City benefited 500 recipients, including senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs). City Mayor Jennifer “Jenny” Barzaga and the City Council played a key role in the success of this distribution. Later that day, their offices also visited Imus City where 500 community health workers and women received support. This distribution was organized in coordination with Cavite 3rd District Representative Adrian Jay “AJ” Advincula, Mayor Alex “AA” Advincula, and Councilor Mark Villanueva. The outreach in Dasmariñas City continued on June 20, assisting 2,000 more residents. Beneficiaries included Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), solo parents, women’s groups, and members of the LGBTQ community. These initiatives reflect the Cayetano siblings’ ongoing commitment to supporting marginalized communities across the country. Their teams continue to conduct simultaneous visits in different provinces to bring assistance directly to Filipinos in need. By closely collaborating with government agencies and local units, they ensure efficient and effective delivery of aid to those who require it most.

BayaNiJuan Festival in Tiaong, Quezon to honor small, medium enterprised, Balikbayan and OFW

By Danny Estacio TIAONG, Quezon – Mayor Vincent Arjay Mea said here on Tuesday that one of the highlights of BayaniJuan Festival 2024 is to honor the Overseas Filipino Workers ( OFW) and Balik Bayan and the sector of small and medium enterprises which gave a big contribution in the progress and economic development in this town. The festival started on June 18 until June 24 and lined up a weeklong event in honor of the town’s patron St. John the Baptist. Mea said in the interview that he asked for the support of the Balikbayan and the OFW to put up investments in their communities to help the residents in the upliftment of the economic condition. Mea received an affirmative response from the Balikbayan who came back just to witness the festival. Mea added that he targeted the small medium business enterprises in recognizing their huge contribution to the local government, and they were chosen from 31 barangays with three awardees each. The said business sector is vital in sharing the local taxes the LGU collected to P106 million in recent years from the previous P60 million collections in 2021. Because of the tax collected and contribution from the said sector businesses and investment this town has from ” kuting”(kitten) in the future into a tiger economy in the province of Quezon. Mea added to make the festival more vibrant and exciting several movies, TV, and singers’ personalities were invited to perform at Mayor’s RJM night.

Cayetanos deliver aid to Lumban, Laguna communities

LUMBAN,Laguna -“Kung mayroon pong mga turista, mayroon po kaming pinagtitindahan, pero  kapag wala po, wala rin pong tinda. Kaya napakalaking tulong po nitong tulong nila Senator Alan at Senator Pia Cayetano, dahil magagamit ko ito para sa pang-tuition fee ng aking anak.” These were the heartfelt words of Reysie delos Reyes Cacalda, an espasol vendor from Lumban, Laguna as she expressed gratitude for the assistance from the sibling senators which will significantly contribute to a higher cause—funding her child’s education. “Makakapagpa-graduate na po ako ng aking anak na [may kursong] Civil Engineering,” she added joyfully. Cavalda was one of the 1,000 beneficiaries from the partnership between the senators and the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program. This partnership brought support to the Municipality of Lumban in the Province of Laguna. On June 11, 2024, the senators’ offices reached out to community workers, women, and small business owners in Lumban to provide assistance for their needs. The distribution was organized in coordination with Lumban Vice Mayor Belen Raga, who expressed her gratitude to the senators on behalf of the beneficiaries. “Ako po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa tulong na dinala nila sa bayan ng Lumban. Sobrang blessing po ito para sa aming bayan at nawa po ay ibalik ito ng siksik, liglig ni Lord sa inyo,” she said. The activity also featured a Medical Assistance Desk to help individuals with medical expenses, covering hospital bills, medications, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures. These initiatives are part of the Cayetanos’ ongoing efforts to support marginalized communities across the country. While the Senate is on a session break, their offices remain active, visiting various areas to bring aid closer to those in need.
