CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO, La Union – The Police Regional Office-1 conducted three successful operations yields the arrest of five drug personalities and seizure of 134.5 grams of suspected shabu with SDP of P914,600.00 and ten grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves with SDP of P1,200.00 in Ilocos region, on July 5, 2024.
In Binalonan, Pangasinan, buy-bust operation was conducted by joint operatives of RPDEU1 (lead unit), RID PRO 1, PDEG SOU1, PDEA Pangasinan, PIU Pangasinan, PDEU Pangasinan, and Binalonan MPS, in coordination with PDEA RO1 against 54 year-old High Value Individual resident of Urdaneta City of the said province which resulted in his arrest and seizure of 100 grams of suspected shabu with SDP of P680,000.00 contained in ten pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets (1 sold and 9 possession).
Meanwhile in City of San Fernando, La Union, two separate buy-bust operation was conducted.
The first operation was done by City of San Fernando PS (lead unit) together with RID1, LUPIU, LUPDEU, TSC-RMFB1, 1st and 2nd LUPMFC, and PDEA LUPO, in coordination with PDEA RO1 against the 33 year-old Street Level Individual resident of Caloocan City which yield to his arrest and recovery of 30 grams of suspected shabu with SDP of P204,000.00 contained in 2 pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets (sold and seized).
While the second operation was conducted with the same units, still in coordination with PDEA RO1) which resulted to the arrest of three Street Level Individuals, aging 28, 33, and 17 year old, all residents of Caloocan City.
Recovered evidence includes 4.5 grams of suspected shabu with SDP of P30,600.00 contained in three pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets(1 sold and 2 seized) and 10 grams of dried marijuana leaves with SDP of P1,200.00 contained in 1 piece transparent dental floss box (seized).
These outstanding achievements illustrate the vital and persistent commitment of the men and women of Police Regional Office 1 to the fight against illegal drugs.
With that, Regional Director Brig. Gen. Lou Evangelista lauded and praised them for the work well done, and directed them to continue keeping PRO 1 a safe and secure homeland.
